This safety module advanced electronic card is an option for Altivar variable speed drives. This module allows variable speed drives to access additional Safety functions. This creates a complex functional Safety device that helps to provide installation monitoring. It features Safe Stop 1 (SS1), Safe Limited Speed (SLS), and Safe Brake Control (SBC) Safety functions compliant with standard IEC/EN 61800-5-2. In addition, the Safety Module Advanced includes two additional Safety functions: Safe Maximum Speed (SMS) and Guard Door Locking (GDL). Its color is red. The Safety Module Advanced optimizes the overall cost of the installation by avoiding the need for additional external devices, while conforming to international safety standards.
