This soft starter belongs to the Altivar Soft Starter ATS490 range, which is intended to smoothly start and stop asynchronous motors supplied from 208 to 690V. With an operational rated current of 250A in normal duty, it supplies motor from 55 to 250 kW according to mains voltage. With an efficiency of 99.5%, dedicated application functions, and complete monitoring with data reporting, ATS490 enables advanced motor management. Certified cybersecurity, safe Torque Off, and condition monitoring features increase uptime, reduce operational expenditures, and simplify project design. ATS490 provides comprehensive system monitoring, including the motor, application, power and energy with an accuracy greater than 95%. ATS490 has a native Ethernet port for Modbus TCP or EtherNet/IP and a Modbus serial link. Dimensions are 206mm (width), 265mm (depth), 443mm (height) and it weighs 19kg. ATS490 uses plastic with more than 20% bio-based content, and aluminum is ASI-certified. Altivar Soft Starter ATS490 meets the requirements of applications such as pumps, fans, compressors, conveyors, mixers, cutters, grinders, crushers… It conforms to IEC/EN 60947-4-2 and has received CE, cULus, UKCA, RCM, CCC, and DNV certifications.
