Type S NEMA reversing magnetic starters are used for full voltage starting, stopping, and reversing AC squirrel cage motors. NEMA 8736 reversing starters are available in NEMA Sizes 00 to 7 and have ratings up to 810 amperes. NEMA reversing starters consist of two 8502S NEMA contactors that are mechanically and electrically interlocked and an overload relay.
