This SM900 Series SUPERPROX® Ultrasonic Proximity Sensor is part of the Hyde Park Ultrasonic Sensors product range. These sensors are capable of detecting all materials regardless of color, shape, and composition (transparent or opaque, liquid, or solid) including clear glass, powder, food products, metal, plastics, and objects that change colors. They are virtually unaffected by changing light conditions, colors, and noise. The sensor is a self contained, pulse-echo, proximity sensing device that both transmits and receives sonic energy within an operating range of 2in (50.8mm) to 3.28ft (1m) with a configurable sensing window. The response time is 25ms. The sensor accepts 12VDC to 24VDC power and the normally closed output provides a discrete PNP/NPN output. It has LEDs to indicate output state and object positioning. The sensor is an M30 thread barrel sensor of ULTEM™ plastic with a 9.48ft (3m) 4-wire cable. The sensor is compliant with CE and UL standards and NEMA 4X (indoor use only) and IP67 rated. This product is certified by CE and UL. The Hyde Park ultrasonic sensors operate in diffuse, reflex and thru beam modes. This range of sensors even includes long distance detection models. Hyde Park ultrasonic sensors perform contactless, reliable, and high performance detection regardless of the target's shape, texture, color, or transparency.
