Scotch® Varnished Cambric Tape 2510 insulates electrical joints in areas where mechanical protection and puncture resistance are critical. This premium-grade varnished cambric tape is perfect for insulating joints requiring rapid and clean re-entry. These include motor leads and service drop connections, heavy split- bolts in raceways, and bus bar insulation. Varnished cambric tape can withstand temperatures up to 221 °F (105 °C). The straight-cut woven cotton cambric fabric tape is coated and oil-primed with a yellow varnish to provide insulation stability. Each roll measures 2 in x 36 yds and 7 mils thick and has a 5-year shelf life for long-lasting insulation. Note: Scotch® Varnished Cambric Tapes should not be used as primary insulation for splicing and terminating PILC Cables.
