The switches have a factory set, nonadjustable trip point calibrated to protect the molded case switch. The automatic switch can make and break its rated current. PowerPacT J-Frame switches are available in unit mount, I-Line, plug in, or drawout constructions. This switch has lugs on both the line and load sides. This PowerPacT J, 250A, 3 pole, automatic switch has a short circuit withstand current rating of 18kA at 600VAC. This unit includes a control wire terminal on the line side and a handle extension. PowerPacT J automatic switches comply to UL, CSA, ANCE, and IEC standards.
