This Modicon MCM standard ("non-safe") communication module has one Profibus DP connection with a Sub-D 9 connector. It is designed to monitor remotely your safety system with the commonly used Profibus DP protocol, without additional gateways. It is furnished with spring clamp terminals, removable terminal block for electrical connection. It is an IP20 rated product. The non-safe communication modules are designed for diagnostics connection and data communication purposes to machine field bus or network systems. Its transmission rate varies from 500kbit/s to 12Mbit/s. This communication module is connected to the safety controller via the backplane expansion connector. It weighs 0.3kg.
