This speed monitoring module is an option for variable speed drives of the Altivar range. This option module features four functions: load slip frequency threshold, load slip detection level, load slip direction check, and load slip detection duration. This module helps to detect undesired load slip on hoisting applications using an external encoder. The speed monitoring module helps to ensure that the actual motor speed is within the acceptable threshold settings and that movement is in the desired direction. It has one 6-way screw connector port. Its input nominal voltage is 5V. It weighs 0.3kg. It is recommended for hoisting applications in OPEN loop control. This product is compliant with RS422 standard. To use with ATV320 drives with a compact control block, an option module adapter is required.
