Nancy is a member of the Senior Management Team, the Executive Leadership Team, and Strategic Natural Team as well as other of Mayer’s Quality Strategic Initiatives or project teams. She is the principal executive officer of Mayer and presides over all official meetings of the Board of Directors and stockholders.

Nancy and Mayer Electric Supply have always been connected through her grandfather, Ben Weil, who founded the business, and her mother and father, Patsy and Charles Collat. Nancy began working at Mayer during the summers of her high school years. After her college graduation and marriage to Glenn Goedecke, her career in electrical wholesale distribution continued in Grand Rapids, MI. With a subsequent move to Tampa, FL, Nancy began her work as an inside sales associate at Mayer and as an inside account manager. Upon her move to Birmingham and the arrival of a second son, Scott, Nancy's time was devoted to her family, volunteer activities, and Mayer leadership.

In addition to her role as the Chairman of Mayer, Nancy is an active member in the community. Nancy currently serves on the boards of the Collat Jewish Family Services, the YWCA, the Birmingham Jewish Federation, the Mountain Brook Foundation Board, and the United Way. Her previous work has included: President of the YWCA Junior Board, a sustainer of the Junior League, a participant in Leadership Birmingham, President of the Jr. High PTA and the PTA Council, President of Collat Jewish Family Services and board member of YouthServe and NCRA (Non-Profit Resource Center of Alabama).  Nancy was part of Mayer's first Leadership Development Class. Prior to her current Mayer position, Nancy was Vice Chairman and earlier was the Next Generation representative to the Mayer Advisory Board.

A Mayer associate since 1987, Wes knows the company from "the inside out". Wes began as a warehouse associate and moved into internal auditing and then to quality assurance. Wes was Vice President and CIO, then Executive Vice President and COO before his current appointment. Wes is a member of Mayer's Leadership Natural Team, Strategic Natural Team, and lead the Strategic Planning QSI.

In addition, Wes was the first President of The University of Alabama at Birmingham's MBA Alumni Association and helped start the association. He is also the past V.P. and Treasurer of The Institute of Internal Auditors. Congratulations to Wes for being The 2006 Outstanding Alumnus of the UAB School of Business.

Glenn Goedecke Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing

Glenn joined Mayer in 1986 and the responsibilities he has had have been those of an outside account manager, sales manager, branch manager, and operations manager.  He was a division manager prior to his role now. Glenn is a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Strategic Natural Team, and a member of the Quality Strategic Initiative team on Customers and Markets, as well as a number of quality project teams.

Charles A. Collat, Sr. - Chairman Emeritus

A Mayer associate since 1953, Charles and his family became full owners of the company in 1979. Charles is a very active member of the community and budgets time and resources to support a number of worthy causes including the United Way, Alabama Institute for the Deaf and Blind, Leadership Alabama, and the University of Alabama-Birmingham, where he and his family have funded the Ben S. Weil School of Industrial Distribution (named in honor of Mayer's founder). In 1996, Charles' contributions to the community culminated in his selection to carry the Olympic Torch in the nation-wide relay on its way to Atlanta.
