Mayer Electric Supply’s locations in Florida recently received Florida Trend’s Best Companies to Work Award for 2011. The Best Companies To Work For in Florida program was created by Florida Trend and Best Companies Group and endorsed by the HR Florida State Council.

To be eligible for the award Mayer associates in Florida, along with all of the businesses and organizations that competed for the recognition, were asked to complete an online survey conducted by the Best Companies Group.  The awards are based solely on the voice of the employees and on the data collected.  In addition to earning the award, management at Mayer uses the feedback from reports provided to analyze what is going well and what needs further improvement. The first part competition and process consisted of evaluating each company's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure employee satisfaction. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking.
