Three Mayer Electric Supply sales associates, all from our Georgia region, were the first in the company and among the first group in the industry to receive the Certified Electrical Professional designation. CEP is a certification program for distributors, manufacturers, and others in the electrical distribution industry.
Katriona Hartin, Strategic Account Manager in Norcross, Chad Wilson, Inside Sales Representative in Conyers, and Greg Smith, Commodity Purchasing Manager, also in Norcross, received certification by meeting National Association of Electrical Distributor standards and successfully completing the certification exam. Katriona was one of only six women in the entire electrical distribution industry to receive the CEP.

Certification has benefits for Mayer and our customers as well as for the individuals who earn it. For Mayer and our customers the recognized benefits are more competent associates, improved operations and service, and added credibility. The individuals who earned the certification are better able to serve the customers by demonstrating product knowledge, skills, and competency. Plus, the CEP designation automatically adds a dimension of assurance for those who may not know them. These associates have invested their time and put in the effort to receive third-party certification as a professional. The next CEP exam is scheduled for July.
