Customer Training
Mayer Automation has provided specialized training services to our customers for well over a decade. It is our belief that our customers should have the opportunity to obtain reliable hands-on training. Effective training allows employees to gain confidence and knowledge in design, maintenance, and repair of automation products. In many instances we can help with product training that is not automation related as well.
Mayer Automation Group’s training facility, located in Birmingham, Alabama is capable of holding classes with up to 12 students. The training room is set up with computers, a variety of GE PLCs (90-70, 90-30 and Versamax,) and software required to perform the training. The Rx3i trainers can be provided upon request. We offer PLC program training utilizing Logicmaster, Versapro and Proficy Machine edition. Mayer is a certified STEP Training partner with GE Intelligent Platforms. Mayer employs a certified GE Instructor. Additional training can be arranged for items like Proficy Plant Edition HMI, Quick Panel View and GE drives.
Maintenance classes are designed as an introduction to hardware and software. The duration of the class is typically three days. The course focuses on basic operation, maintenance and troubleshooting techniques.
Level 1 Programming classes are designed as an introduction to programming. The depth and scope of the labs are increased. This class will benefit individuals who plan, develop or modify control logic.
