Mayer’s Jim Summerlin Recognized for LeadershipWednesday, January 13, 2010

Recently at the Affiliated Distributors North American Meeting in Dallas, TX, Mayer Electric Supply’s Vice Chairman, Jim Summerlin, received the Affiliate of the Year - Leadership award. Paying recognition to Jim’s 41 years in the industry and all his amazing accomplishments at Mayer and in the electrical distribution industry, Jim received a rousing ovation from the thousands in attendance.

In presenting the award, David Oldfather, Senior Vice President of Affiliated Distributors, noted Jim as a visionary with outstanding leadership qualities and as a true gentlemen.

Jim has been an associate of Mayer Electric Supply since 1975. He joined Mayer after having been a field sales engineer with a manufacturer.

Jim is a past Chairman of the National Association of Electrical Distributors and has held leadership positions in Affiliated Distributors, including being a member of their Board of Directors. Jim has served on the advisory boards of a number of electrical product manufacturers.
