Mayer Electric Supply is proud to announce that it was recently recognized by leading lighting manufacturer Philips Lighting Company for achieving the highest status in Philips’ elite “Green Leadership Program.” A leader in the sustainability arena, Philips Lighting’s Green Leadership Program recognizes electrical distributors who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to driving environmentally-responsible, sustainable business through their business practices and the products and solutions they offer to their customers.

In being selected for this elite award, Mayer demonstrated its commitment to sustainability in five key areas, including Promotions, Merchandising, Training, Selling, and Recycling. Outstanding initiatives undertaken by the Mayer team included extensive sales team training in sustainable lighting solutions and its application to customer business, as well as outstanding activities designed to promote awareness of sustainable causes and increase the ease with which Mayer customers can opt for “green” solutions. Proactive initiatives in the area of recycling were also a key component of the program in which Mayer excelled.

Following recognition within Philips’ Green Leadership Program, the team from Mayer will continue to focus on environmentally-responsible solutions for their customers and will continue serving as a role model and green leader within the industry.
