Mayer Completes Acquisition of Southeast Supply of Calhoun, GAThursday, July 23, 2009

Jim Summerlin, President and CEO of Mayer, announced the acquisition of Southeast Supply in Calhoun, Georgia. “We are excited to provide the Atlanta metro area with another conveniently located branch in a fast growing area. David Callaway, former owner and President of Southeast, will continue in his management position of our newest branch. We look forward to providing a great local inventory, fast delivery service and the ‘people’ resources on which Mayer prides itself.”

“Mayer’s great reputation for customer service and people-orientation are the biggest reasons that we decided to sell to Mayer instead of some other interested parties,” wrote David Callaway in his announcement to associates, customers, and suppliers. He went on to add, “Mayer is a highly ethical and customer-service oriented company. We will enjoy the benefits of a company that goes to great lengths to value each associate, teat supplier-partners fairly, and take excellent care of its customers.”
