Mayer Electric Supply recently announced an agreement to purchase the assets of Electric Supply of Macon, located at 1201 7th Street in Macon, Georgia.
According to Bob White, Owner and President of Electric Supply of Macon, “The opportunity to join forces with Mayer was one we are very happy to conclude. I’ve known Mayer quite well for about 20 years and they have what may be the best reputation in the industry for customer service and high ideals.” Prior to opening Electric Supply, White was a regional sales representative for an electrical manufacturer who had regular dealings with several of Mayer’s 12 other locations in Georgia. “I know from experience that Mayer is a highly ethical and customer service oriented company and will take excellent care of both our customers and associates,” White continued.
Mike Kidney, Mayer’s Regional Vice President, expressed excitement in announcing the acquisition. “We are very pleased to be joining forces with Electric Supply. We have wanted to be a part of the central Georgia area for some time, and the opportunity to have Bob and his team become a part of Mayer is absolutely the best way we could make this happen.”
Electric Supply of Macon began in 1997 and has grown quickly over the course of its 11 years. Bob White will continue his leadership as the Branch Manager of the location. “With the strong inventory position Mayer has throughout the southeast and the additional services we’ll provide for customers, we are very confident that the Macon-area customers will be pleased,” Kidney added.
Mayer Electric Supply is a wholesale-distributor of electrical equipment and supplies, lighting, factory automation, tools and communications. The company serves contractors, industrials, utilities, commercial businesses and institutions with new construction and maintenance components, parts, equipment and supplies. Mayer is a third-generation, family-owned business founded in Birmingham, Alabama in 1930. The company is also a certified woman-owned business. Mayer serves customers in eight southeastern states with 61 locations and over 1,000 associates.
